Xeloda contains Capecitabine, an oral chemotherapy medication used in the treatment of various cancers, including breast cancer, colorectal cancer, and gastric cancer. It is a prodrug that is converted in the body to 5-fluorouracil (5-FU), which works by interfering with DNA synthesis in cancer cells, thereby slowing or stopping their growth.
Dosage (General Use):
The typical dose is 1,250 mg/m² twice daily (morning and evening) for 14 days, followed by a 7-day rest period (one cycle = 21 days).
Dosage depends on the patient’s body surface area, cancer type, and response to treatment.
Swallow tablets whole with water within 30 minutes after a meal.
