Lonart-DS is a fixed-dose combination antimalarial medicine containing Artemether (80 mg) and Lumefantrine (480 mg). It is used for the treatment of uncomplicated malaria infections caused by Plasmodium falciparum, including chloroquine-resistant strains. Artemether provides a fast reduction of malaria parasites, while Lumefantrine helps to eliminate remaining parasites and prevent recurrence.
Dosage (Adults & Children)
Adults & children ≥35 kg: 1 tablet twice daily (morning & evening) for 3 days (total 6 doses).
Children 25–34 kg: 3/4 tablet twice daily for 3 days.
Children 15–24 kg: 1/2 tablet twice daily for 3 days.
Children 5–14 kg: 1/4 tablet twice daily for 3 days.
> Should be taken with food or milk to improve absorption.

Warnings & Precautions
Not recommended in severe malaria or first trimester of pregnancy (unless no alternative).
Use with caution in patients with heart disease, liver or kidney problems.
Avoid taking with grapefruit juice and medicines that affect heart rhythm.
Complete the full course even if symptoms improve.
Keep out of reach of children.
