Pexola 1mg is a dopamine agonist used to treat symptoms of Parkinson’s disease and moderate to severe Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS). It helps improve muscle control, reduce stiffness, and decrease tremors.


Uses

Management of Parkinson’s disease symptoms (tremors, muscle stiffness, poor muscle control)

Treatment of moderate to severe Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS)


Dosage

Parkinson’s disease (Adults): Usually starts at 0.125 mg 3 times daily; dose may be gradually increased up to a maximum of 4.5 mg/day.

RLS: Usually starts at 0.125 mg once daily (2–3 hours before bedtime); maximum 0.5 mg/day.

Always follow doctor’s prescription for safe dosing.


Side Effects

Common: Nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, insomnia, constipation

Serious: Hallucinations, compulsive behaviors, sudden sleep attacks, low blood pressure

Seek medical help if severe reactions occur


Precautions

Not recommended for patients with severe kidney impairment unless adjusted by doctor

May cause drowsiness or sudden sleep — avoid driving or operating heavy machinery

Avoid alcohol as it may worsen drowsiness

Inform doctor if pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking other medications (especially CNS drugs)
