Exforge is a combination medication containing Amlodipine (a calcium channel blocker) and Valsartan (an angiotensin II receptor blocker, ARB). It is prescribed for the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension) in patients who need more than one medicine to achieve blood pressure control. Exforge helps relax blood vessels, improve blood flow, and lower the risk of stroke, heart attack, and kidney problems.


Dosage (Adults)


Recommended starting dose: 5 mg/160 mg once daily.

Depending on blood pressure response, the dose may be increased up to 10 mg/320 mg once daily.

Can be taken with or without food.

Dose adjustments may be required in elderly patients or those with kidney or liver impairment.
