Dorzolamide and Timolol Eye Drops
Dorzolamide + Timolol is a combination medication used in the treatment of glaucoma and ocular hypertension (high pressure inside the eye). It contains Dorzolamide, a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor that reduces fluid production in the eye, and Timolol, a beta-blocker that decreases pressure by improving fluid drainage.
By lowering intraocular pressure, this eye drop helps prevent optic nerve damage, vision loss, and blindness caused by uncontrolled glaucoma. It is commonly prescribed when a single medication is not effective enough, providing stronger pressure control.
Dorzolamide and Timolol eye drops are usually applied once or twice daily as directed by a doctor. Regular use helps protect vision and improve overall eye health in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension.
